Preparations of the wall is the key to get perfect result when using wallpaper. It requires lot of time and effort to get the required result, there are no shortcuts if you want a good result. The basic rule is the wall should be smooth, clear and dry for pasting wallpaper.
Your wallpapers require little care to last longer on your walls. It is in fact a simple routine cleaning which if followed regularly can ensure a better life for your wallpaper.
- If your wall gets a little dirty just use a damp (not wet) none-abrasive cloth to gently wipe away dirt and marks.
- Don’t rub too hard but don’t worry too much as the surface will take a lot more wear than you think.
- Standard temperatures are fine. Kitchens and bathrooms need a little more thought on where you want to put the wallpaper.
- Wipe the wallpaper regularly with a clean, dry cloth to remove dust particles. Do not use hard scrubbing pads. Damp cleaning should not be done regularly.
- When using damp cloth or sponge, always squeeze out excess water and wipe in the direction of the seams/joints , i.e. from top to bottom or from bottom to top.
- Although the scratch proof wallpaper is made up of sturdy material, hard scrubbing and use of chemical based detergents and even mild cleaners can permanently damage the wallpaper.
- Clean your wallpaper once in every month to keep it shining and dust proof.
